1950 Garton Pink Kidillac

Retro Staff |  Comments

Inspired by the design of the 1950 Cadillac, the Kidillac was the most sophisticated of the Garton pedal cars. Top-of-the-line, it featured a one-piece steel chassis, chain-powered pedaling, and a two-tone paint job. Resembling an actual Cadillac, this pedal car sported an electric horn, as well as headlights and taillights. It even came with a spare tire kit!

The Kidillac shown here was restored by us (sorry, we no longer offer this service), and it includes modifications from the original design. The bumpers, trim and taillights were done with custom airbrushing for a jazzier effect than was on the original pedal cars.

This item is not for sale. We show restored items in our museum for viewing, information and to further the hobby of collecting and restoration. We also just want to share the photos of the many items we have restored over the years.
