Affordable Retro Bar Stools ($150 or less)
I’ve been vying to decorate my place with stylish, modern-inspired furniture. As a gal on a budget, though, most hip, modern furniture is out of my reach. Until now.
Enter: new lines of modern and contemporary influenced pieces that are perfect for those of us who want to add a little mid-century flair to a home or apartment while we pay off all those college loans.
For smooth simplicity, the Surf line will dress up any kitchen, game room or home bar without overpowering existing décor. The seat curve is comfortable and the chrome base includes a foot rest. Available in a variety of colors, Surf’s elegant yet versatile designs allows these stools to fit easily in any retro or contemporary room.
The Mimi and Orson designs feature chair backs, and are sold in pairs. Mimi sports a fun, modern design, while Orson is more contemporary.
Orson is a classic design available in black orbrown, while Mimi is available in several colors (including red and lime green).
Both stools have generous back support, which encourages extended sitting. These make great additions to any apartment that’s short on space, and they look particularly good around a breakfast bar or kitchen island.
If you’re looking for some serious shine and bold color, the Swizzle and Scooper lines are a total win.
These adjustable stools sport a lustrous, sleek mod style with smooth, glossy seats, plus plenty of chrome for an extra dose of shine. Swizzle is available in classic colors: black, white, red and silver. Scooper is available in more vibrant colors: black, white, silver, red, pink, purple and blue.
No matter where you place them, the Swizzle and Scooper stools will pop. They’re perfect for kitchen islands and bars.
