Retro Lighting: Las Vegas Table Lamps

Las Vegas Sign LampViva Las Vegas!

The “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign was created by Betty Willis in 1959, and even today represents the city of lights and the famous Las Vegas strip. Still quite young, the Strip represents the significant changes the US underwent after WWII.  As Frommers says, Las Vegas promoted itself “as a town that combined Wild West frontier friendliness with glamour and excitement”.

Of course, who doesn’t remember Elvis’s triumphant return in 1969, when he became one of the city’s most legendary entertainers?

These retro style Vegas table lamps take us back to the famous Strip. Featuring the fabulous welcome sign, they look great on or off, and can be set as a focal point or be integrated with existing decor. Accented with a ball chain pull cord and a brushed nickel base, they’re perfect for both home and office.

For those who like to roll the dice, the Las Vegas Sign and Dice Lamp in black or pink will brighten up that Man or Woman Cave.

And if roulette’s your game of choice, place your bets by light of the Roulette Table/Desk Lamp. It’s a classic, fun design and makes a great accent to the executive’s office or game room.

There are thousands of Las Vegas sign mementos and collectibles. I love that these lamps are totally unique. They’d make a great gift for those who took the plunge in Sin City, or love all the fun and games the Strip has to offer.
