New Old Stock: The Start of a Vintage Collection

There is a classification among collectible vintage items called NOS, or New Old Stock. Examples of NOS items include bottle crowns, bottle labels, popcorn boxes and bags and store signs that were produced years ago, but were never used. As a result, these items tend to be in very good condition. Many NOS products are the last examples of things that are not being produced any longer.

NOS can be found in warehouses or abandoned factories where they were simply forgotten after a business closed. NOS items can be excellent examples of vintage advertising and can be very affordable and fairly easy to find. Because of this, they are a great way to start a collection. Whether you collect a specific brand or ads for a particular food item, they are an easy way to enter the world of collectibles without making a huge investment. NOS items can be bought online at auction sites or in person at trade shows and flea markets.

We offer a variety of NOS items for sale in our Vintage Originals category. Depending on the product, we may have anywhere from just a single item, to a larger quantity of another. Our NOS items range in age from the 1940s to the 1970s. Browse through the Vintage Originals pages and see if maybe you’d like to get started on your own collection of retro advertising.
