Weekend DIY: String Art!

Classic String Art

The classic string art circle is easy to make and adds a great splash of depth. We found this pattern at Spoonful.

Who doesn’t remember making string art in art class? With retro crafts as decor making a huge comeback, it’s time to sit down and create those colorful, three-dimensional circles. And you don’t even need a kit.

Chances are you have most of the supplies needed already (take a look in the garage and those junk drawers). Things like a scrap piece of plywood, nails, yarn or thick thread and good craft glue.

Actually, many schools still teach the classic circle in art class or even in math to further explain principles. But we’ll settle on making this for pure enjoyment.
