Repurposed Vintage Fire Call Box – Now a Telephone Stand with Lamp

Retro Staff Comments

Restored Vintage Call BoxYears ago, when we were in the restoration business, we received a fire department call box to repurpose into a telephone stand. We’re not sure of the original manufacturer, but the box resembles the Gamewell Corp. fire box made in the ’40s and ’50s.

Also added to this vintage piece was a globe lamp on top. This, coupled with the light that illuminates the telephone inside, makes the stand look great will also being functional.

Close up of the top of the stand – note the lighting inside the box, which calls attention to the vintage phone.

This item is not for sale. We show restored items in our museum for viewing, information and to further the hobby of collecting and restoration. We also just want to share the photos of the many items we have restored over the years.
