Stanzal Laundry Soap Pail

Here at Retroplanet.com we are surrounded by all things retro. Not only the things we sell but original items and collections that decorate our offices. We thought it might be interesting each week to bring you a photo and information of an interesting, and maybe unusual, retro item we have kicking around. Please note these items are not for sale.

This vintage item is a bucket that originally was filled with laundry detergent. The copy printed on the bucket says, “Stanzal controlled suds detergent for automatic washers”. (Imagine carrying this heavy item home from the store!) The trademark for the Stanzal name and logo was filed in 1956 and the bucket probably dates to about the same time. Today the Stanzal name is owned by Stanson Corporation of Kearny, New Jersey.
